The Alden Kin Search Project
About the Alden Kin Search Project

The Alden Kin Search Project is an ongoing collaborative effort to gather and make available (subject to privacy issues) information on all of the descendants of Pilgrims John and Priscilla Alden. This information is gathered from many sources including the records of the Alden Kindred of America, Incorporated, the family organization of the descendants of John and Priscilla. In addition, much of this data has been submitted by researchers who have shared their success with us.

More specifically, the goals of this project are intended to meet these objectives:

  • Research and document as many Alden descendants as possible.Maintain an accurate, documented database of these descendantsDisseminate this information to researchers, including professional genealogists, with a legitimate interest in the Alden family and its collateral lines.Write and publish genealogies and family histories about the Alden family, including biographies and vignettes of many of its more famous or colorful members.
  • Assist individuals interested in joining the Alden Kindred of America in completing the necessary genealogical research.

As this information has been collected, it has been merged into The Alden Family Master Database which includes information on all known descendants. The Alden Family Database for Eight Generations, one part of the Alden Kin Search Project, publishes information on the first eight generations from the Alden Family Master Database.

You may help contribute to this project in several ways: 1) Provide additional information to the Project; 2) volunteer to help those already involved; 3) make a tax-deductible contribution to this Project; 4) join the Alden Kindred family association (if a descendant of John & Priscilla) or become an Alden House Museum Member.
